10 days!!!!!!

So as we near the the world cup, we need to reflect on the possible out comes. there are many teams on their way to Germany. I don't think they all took buses but i think that you get the point. I also like hows in the lead and the forefront of our veiw. Thee powerhouse we know as Brazil. Now i don't want to be one of those people who likes Brazil because they win all the time. trust me, i like a team and i stick with them even in the bad times (GO CANUCKS GO). But i like the game they play. the fast, creative and dangerous play upfront. Plus it helps to have the top footballer of the world on your side. That is not to shabby. What can i say. He plays with such grace and skill. The few games that i wanted in the Champians league were out standing. He is such a creative player and loves to make tricky/ridiculous plays look easy. But it is not only his individle play that is outstanding, its also his team game. They way he sets up plays and controls the ball. You have to take notice. So, we shall see how comes up with the winning ways.
There is another team that has been on and off the radar for some time. They play with style and hard work. They have skill from the keeper to the striker. But, they do not have the resepct that they deserve and i wish they woudl prove themselves once again as world camps. I am, of course talking about.....
The lions of the nether-regions have something to prove. With Van-der-sar keeping them in the game to my old friend, Ruud at the forefront banging home the victories, i see only good things from this team. Now if only they can get past the Gritty Agrentianians. I would venture a guess that they will advacnce to the next round as their group is not a "group of death" as some have been labeled. I hope that they do well and make eveyone in orange very happy.
And now the question of the hour, who are the DARK HORSES??? What do think? The States? I hope so dark, they don't even make past the first round. Maybe Korea again? I don't know tons but i am certinly watching a couple teams to make an impression. First we start of with a small team with a huge hear and a huge desire. This is the first trip for this country and i hope that they do wonders in the first round. Will they advance in the tough round with England and Sweden and Puraguay? Maybe not, but if anyone has the drive and the desire to do it, its them. If if they don't, i want to see them knock of those chaps from across they pond. I love English Football, don't get me wrong. But the fact that everyone (here in Canada and England) thinks they are the only team out there. I think they need to watch out for a time that is playing for pride and their country.
Now a team that i want to see do well is the Ivory Coast. I don;t know what they can do in group C with the Netherlands and Argentia, but they have the defnece in Eboue and Toure (some of my Arsenal Favs) and an offenceive force in Didier Drogba. We shall see what this little country can do on the BIG world stage.
Another team that will come out firing will be the French. Now i don't usally like anything that has to do with French unless it is deep fried, but i see the heart and the drive that these footballers have. Having won in their home county and then not winning a game four years later, they have something to prove. Also, with a POWERHOUSE like Henry (i want to know a child of mine after him(i got the big NOPE on that one)) playing with all jets firing there is no stopping them. Plus, with Zidane hanging up ye old boots after this, they want to give hime something to remember. Zidane plays with power. He plays with skill that is matched by few. The world of football will be truly sad to see such a great baller take off that captians band for the last time.
So that is my take on the world cup htoday. I am sorry for any speellind mistakes troughout this post. I am up late doing it. Sorry again. If you have any predictions on out come of the final or even some nominations for darkhorse of the year, let me know. Also, if you think you know something about this great game we call football, test your luck and skill against others who think they know their stuff. Go to http://fpli.premierleague.com/ and make a team. Then once you made a team, join our league by going to "leagues" on the right hand side of the page. Type this code 86744-18208 into the private league spot and you will be where the fun is. Also, let your friends in on the secert too. It is only fun when there are people in the pool with you. So hurry the world cup starts in 10 days, 17 hours, 53 mins and 12 secs, 11...10...9...8....

The Man Show!!!!

So we had the Man Show roll into town last weekend. It was great to get a bunch of cool stuff all under one roof. I was impressed with the layout and the turnout. I did not get a lot of pictures because I was WAY to busy working (ie watching the last samurai and the hockey game in a nice leather chair seen here. Besides the cars and the bikes and motorhomes, there were booths about BBQs, hot tubs, golf, Electronics (ours was the best one (almost the only one)), HD lounge, meat, more cars, paint ball and some one had the guts to have a candle and sent both. I don't think they even got up to answer any questions. Well, all in all it was a great time. Here are some pictures that I got. Enjoy.

The Final with Mixed Feelings

So I was right about a couple things for this game. One, it was going to be an amazing game. Next, The Gunners we going to come out hard. Third, I was going to be to no avail. I love the gunners, don't get me wrong, but the power of Eto'o, Ronaldinho and Valdez were to great for the English powerhouse. I have some pics to represent the games highs and lows.

We start with the most devistating thing that could happen. Lehmann, keeper for the gunners did the only thing he could do to stop a goal, he tripped/pulled down Eto'o. So, a red card was shown only 17 min in. A blow that I thought would kill the gunners right away, but....

a little while later Campbel's header rocketed passed Valdez for the lead. What a life for a side of 10.

But alas, the 11 men team was too much for the gunners. Eto'o put it passed the back-up keeper. From then on, Barca was just to tough and a bit less tired.

The final nail in the coffin was when Barca's sub, Belletti put one in between the legs of Almunia for the win.

It was a great game with the result I wished was different. But, other then the score, the game was everything I expected and I can't wait till next year. Go Gunners!!

I hope i can still talk and sell stuff tomorrow. I encourage you all to get one, if not all of there albums (and don't just burn them or steal them. We need to support our GOOD Canadian talent. I do believe if you like/support a band/songwriter you must not steal there music. Just a thought. I know i am guilty on some levels. I am going out to buy there live one tomorrow. I am PUMPED> i would see them again tomorrow if i could. Oh well, i gots to sleep.
