I Remebered!!!

Look at me go!!! I remember! Today is our third....no wait the second wedding thing. It has been a great two years and i can't wait to spend another two years with Karla (just kidding, i can't wait to spend the REST of my life with Karla!)
For our big day we are going to ___________ for a night and then we are going to ____________ all day tomorrow. (I can't tell you what we are doing because i have not told Karla yet. If you want to know call me or email and i'll let you know, or i will right later in the blog and let you know most of what we did...

The In-Laws

So Brad's parents came out for this week for their holidays. Well let me tell you. It wasn't much of a holiday because we put them right to work. Brad's dad knows how to do a lot of home repairs that I have no what to do or what to even buy. The first time they came out we got them to put up a shed for us. This summer we weren't going to have anything for them to do but then we took a trip to Home Depot and Rona and the rest is history. We decided to put in Garden doors to replace our really bad sliding doors that go off of our kitchen. Dad kindly asked Dad if he would do this with our help and he agreed thank goodness. It sure saved us a lot of money. Thanks mom and dad. Here are some pictures from that adventure.

I forgot to take a before picture so here is the sliding doors already out and the new ones are waiting in the background.

These are the doors sort of done on the outside. We still need to put the casing on but that is for later. Sadie nicely posed for me as well.

Mom and dad also helped us patch the decking and scrub it clean. Thanks again for your work and sorry about the missed holiday time.

To close off I thought that I would leave just a few more pictures of me and Sadie for your enjoyment. Since we don't have any kids we take lots of pictures of our dog. I know we are crazy.

Something other than soccer, yeah!!!!!!

So I (Karla) thought that I would try my hand at writing an entry since most of the things that Brad writes about are sports, mostly soccer. For those of you who like to hear about soccer sorry that this post may be boring. For those who are sick of reading about soccer join the club, I feel for you.

The last couple of weeks of summer have been spent in the heat and trying to do a few things around the house. At the beginning of July my sister and brother-in-law came to visit from Winnipeg so my parents came up as well. We had a great time. The men even got to show some of their man power by cutting down one of our annoying trees.


Here are a few pictures of Brad taking his turn at the tree and then the tree almost all down and my dad taking a turn. Too bad we only had an axe. We rented a chain saw the next day to cut the branches small enough to take to the dump and to level the stump. Good work men.

This is my sister Alissa for those of you who don't know and our dog Sadie. She is getting so big and well behaved most of the time. She even shows that she is a lady by crossing her paws.

Sadie's favourite thing to do was to play in the fallen branches.

World Cup Blues

SO it has been a while since i updated this thing. I guess i am like an old grandpa upgrading his tv. It takes for EVER to do it and when they do, its not much better then before. But alas, we are bored at work so i thought that i would do it. Sorry anyone who wants a tv.

So the week leading up to the world cup had its ups and downs. I the final that i wanted was the rematch of last cup. but Brazil could not beat the hard working french side. I was glad to see henry and zuzu and the other "gunners" go through. I was hoping for a win for them not the french team.

Now, with regards to the headbutt. I was wrong, duh. But i heard rumors of why and what set him off and i would have had to hold my self back pretty hard.
If you did not hear, the italian goon was calling him a terrorist, wishing a ugly death on him and his family (his mother (who is ill) and sister). The fact that he said it three times to him was an even bigger shock that he only headbutted him. I was ticked. I would have laid that guy OUT! PLUS!! he grabbed his NIPPLE. wow. no one grabs my nipple without a headbutt a coming. so that is the run down. Oh right, there was a shootout and italy won. I forgot that there was also a game.
